Home pregnancy tests are quite accurate. If anything, they give false negatives because it might not have picked up enough of the pregnancy hormone but positives are usually accurate. If you want to be absolutely sure, take another test and if that one too says you are pregnant, count on it.

most are 99%

A pregnancy test can be positive before you even have missed a period. Many tests can provide positive results within 10 days after you become pregnant, however it is usually best to wait until you've missed a period because the HCG hormone (the hormone found in early pregnancy)will be stronger which in that case will give you definite results.

It doesn't matter but first response early pregnancy test is very good.I'ts five days sooner,99% acurate, easy to read and no other test tells you sooner. They also give you three tests (i guess if you are nervous and mess up then you can do it again). I hoped this helps you, it certainly helped me. * Conception usually occurs about 5-7 days after intercourse * Your most fertile period is about 5 days before ovulation * For most(but not all) women ovulation occurs about 14 days prior to her period. To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1-2 days before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * wait for the results!

Home pregnancy tests are 99% accurate when taken correctly. It's important to be sure that you are not testing too early and that you use first morning urine. Not following the directions included with the test can cause undesired results.

First thing in the morning, after you have missed a period. Taken too soon (before your period is late) the test may result in a false negative.
