Is it possible to be raised with a narcissistic parent and not become narcissistic?

It is highly likely that a child raised by very narcissistic parents will not become narcissistic. They might struggle to undo enmeshment, dependence, and approval seeking behaviors. It depends on how much the child perceives his or her own sense of otherness in comparison to his or her parent.

Can blood types Ao plus and BB or BO- create an O plus child?

If the parents are AO+ and BO-, they can create a O+ child: both parents contribute O and the AO+ parent contributes + (the child's genetic makeup would be OO+-). If the parents are AO+ and BB-, they could not create an O+ child as the BB- parent would contribute a B (possible combinations would be AB or BO in that case).

Is it normal behavior for a narcissist's parents to go along with whatever the narcissist tells them to do?

There are many cases where the Narcissistic personality is learned from their environment and perhaps one parent or both can be Narcissistic. No matter whether one is Narcissistic or not, parents will often back their children when it comes to different problems whether their children are right or wrong. Even some of my own friends with children in their late teens to their 20s will make up rediculous excuses for their child's behavior. To parents whether their child is 5 - 55 that person is still the parent's child. Unless this person has had a diagnosis from a professional you are second-guessing they are a Narcissist and they could simply be a spoiled brat, selfish, inconsiderate, moody, self indulgent or a plain pain in the butt!

How do you raise your children to not be narcissistic?

You can prevent your child from becoming narcissistic by encouraging them to help others. You also want to stress that everyone is created equal.

What is a narcissistic child?

Children are naturally narcissists. But, they are kept in check by parents and they eventually develop a sense of empathy, honesty and a sense of responsibility. Adult versions don't have that .....a sense of empathy, honesty or a sense of responsibility. It is why they are what they are.

At what age does narcissism take permanent hold?

The full fledged manifestation of pathological narcissism - the Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) - can be diagnosed in early adolescence at the earliest. It is reversible if treated early on but becomes entrenched in adulthood. A child who has narcissistic traits, a narcissistic personality, or a narcissistic style - does NOT amount to having NPD.

Why does a person look like their parents?

People look like their parents because in order to create a person, the parents of them must pass down genetics. They make the child look like them because of these.
