pandemic is a game on the interenet where you set up a desease and see how long it takes to kill the world, there is also a new game called pandemic II. A Pandemic is a wide-spread epidemic. In the cases where it's not caused intentionally by man, I would call it a natural disaster, although with some trepidation, as the term "natural disaster" more often refers to situations that have physical environmental causes.

Personally, I don't think so. I haven't done any research about that, but however, it totally makes sense that disease are not natural disasters. Natural disasters occur due to environmental and Earth core "need of release". This is like when lava from the core and rocks get very squacked, then they need to break out. This results in volcanoes for example. Diseases have to do with viruses and microbes and are dealt with by our immune systems, inside our human body.

Yes, many can be considered to be such. The Black Death caused up to 50% deaths in many populations and it took more than 150 years for the communities to recover.
