No, a stock pot is a large, deep, straight-sided pot for preparing stocks and simmering large quantities of liquid on the stove top. A Dutch oven is shorter, thick-walled (usually cast iron) pot with a tight fitting lid. Commonly referred to as a 'camp oven', it is meant for braising or slow-cooking and can be used in either the oven, stove top or directly over hot coals on a campfire.

The difference between saucepans and Dutch ovens are that saucepans are used for general cooking on a stove top. Dutch ovens are designed to be used when cooking over and open fire. The lid on a Dutch oven allows users to place coals on the top of the lid.

No, a crock pot usually means a ceramic bowl in an electric case that cooks food slowly. A stock pot refers to the shape and size. It's usually a very large pot used for cooking stock, or broth to make into soup. A stock pot sits on a low flame on back of the stove and leftover bits of food and vegetables get thrown in.

Same concept, but different methods of heating. Crock pot has the heating coil around the outside of the crock. Dutch oven is a heavy pot, usually cast iron with a lid that is used on top of the stove, in the oven or over a fire. Both surround the contents with heat.
