No. Emos are a youth subculture with a specific style of dress and music. They are not all suicidal or depressed, nor is everyone who is suicidal or depressed an emo. The two things getting muddled are causing a significant problem because people who are genuinely depressed may not confess because they do not want to get labelled emo.

Being emotional is a good thing. Being 'emo' in the sense of suicidal however, isn't.It's all about how you see it. If it's a scene you want to involve yourself in, go for it.All I can really tell you is to make sure you're ready to dedicate yourself.
