The speculation that Ciara was born male or intersexual is purely a rumor. Ciara was born a female and she has spoken about the issue in the past. Also, the rumor that she admitted being born male/hermaphrodite on Oprah are also false. Ciara has never been on Oprah.

∙ 14y agoCiara is NOT a hermaphrodite. The rumor of her being a man and having a sex change started back in early 2006-2007 when her new album: Ciara- The Evolution came out and she did the video "Like A Boy."
IT also started because Ciara during the time span which she came out; starting in 2003 until now had gotten a little taller.. She now stands at 5'9" tall and also because she likes to work out and keep her athletic shape.
Ciara is not a man, she's not a drag queen and she never had a sex change. I believe the rumor also started because of some people's dislike of Ciara at the beginning because when she came out people compared her to
R&B songstress Aaliyah. But it is all false.
