A cotton fabric is going to breathe better than polyester in the warm/hot weather. Same is true for the difference between the two for bedding - would much rather sleep on cotton sheets than polyester.
Don't believe the mindlessly parroted advice about cotton always being superior to polyester. I fell for it for YEARS and suffered needlessly.
A breathable, light polyester shirt will be much more comfortable than cotton. The cotton shirt absorbs sweat and locks it in, making the shirt feel heavy, sticky, and disgusting. Because it locks the sweat so well, the breathability of the cotton shirt goes down to zero, and further sweat production is for naught, since it can't evaporate. Thus, the cotton shirt turns you into a lightheaded, red, sweltering sweat machine.
One day, I decided to do my yard work on a 90F+ day in my LONG-SLEEVE polyester shirt, rather than the cotton T-shirt I had always worn. I was shocked. I was VASTLY more comfortable. I didn't feel feverish and dehydrated like I had EVERY TIME I wore the cotton shirt. Even when I came back into AC, the shirt didn't feel sopping wet and disgusting, like the cotton shirts always do.
Choose a poly shirt that is advertised as breathable and/or "moisture wicking," and you will be amazed. What's more, the polyester won't fade nearly as much as the cotton shirt, won't shrink at all (although it may use non-polyester stitching, which may shrink), and stains come out more easily.
I prefer cotton for bandanas, but for everything else, you can keep that garbage. Just make sure you don't use fabric softeners of any kind (liquid or dryer sheets) with the synthetic fibers. Fabric softeners apply a coating to the fabrics, which decreases their ability to move water. Wool dryer balls are a great, easy-to-use and chemical-free alternative to fabric softeners.
cotton is better to wear in the summer then polyester
Depends on intended usage and preferences. polyester dries faster but is less resistant to heat.
No, it is not. Cotton is a natural plant fiber, but polyester is a man made material.
No, cotton is a natural product: it grows on bushes.
Cotton is much warmer that polyester.
where the cotton percentage is more than 50% in the yarn (cotton polyester) than it is termed as cotton polyester and where the polyester percentage is more than 50% in the yarn ( polyester cotton) it is termed as polyester cotton.
Cotton blend could be mixed with polyester.
They come from places where there are both, cotton and polyester.

No, cotton is a natural fibre made from the cotton plant, and polyester is a man-made synthetic fabric which is a petroleum-by-product.
Probably the most important way that polyester is better than cotton is that it does not shrink in the drier, unlike cotton; however, cotton is generally softer than polyester.
what does 100% polyester mean
there ae different types of polyester cotton (PC) some of them are 30's,40's,50's,60's, (45,50,60 carded (weft)), (54,64 combed (warf))
Usually it's a mix of cotton and polyester
Cotton is more expensive than polyester, as it is grown, whereas polyester is man-made and easier to get.
It's neither..Polyester cotton mixed means that polyester and cotton are woven into each other, it's not specifically on the outside or inside. I play rugby, and they weave to reduce the amount of pain on your skin if you fall.
"Poly cotton" is a term for a blend of polyester and cotton. The physical properties depend on both the ratio of polyester to cotton and on the particular polyester used. A standard poly cotton fabric would have 65% Polyester 35% cotton, with a 68 pique thread count However a 50% polyester 50% Cotton is also normal this starts to go in percale finish, and a higher thread count, the higher the thread count and cotton content the better the fabric finish
