God is everything so he can be divine he made Jesus who is Divine so if he is capable of making a divine person I'm pretty sure he can make himself divine also. God can choose to make himself human too but he doesn't want to!
Yes the miracles he did and things he taught give no question to Christ's divinity but he wasn't totally divine he was also human and subject to physical and emotional pain. So he had divine strengths but human weaknesses (except for sin).
