There really is no better. It's up to you and your tastes.

  1. Ireland is a lot smaller than the USA,
  2. There isn't a lot of violence (There's a lot in America), so it is much safer.
  3. Guns are hard to get a hold of, though people don't want to have them, as there is no gun culture. (The Irish police force don't have them, except for special units)
  4. There are many cultural differences. Ireland has sports that many people in America don't know about, called Hurling and Gaelic Football, and we have our own language called 'Irish' or 'Gaeilge' (pronounced Gayl-ga or Gwayl-ga).Ireland has a rich culture of music and literature.
  5. There are many different people from all over the world in America. Ireland is quite diverse, but not as much.
  6. Ireland's weather is more changeable, but doesn't experience the extremes of hot and cold that America does or have things like hurricanes and earthquakes.
  7. America is more developed technology-wise, though many of the big American technology companies use Ireland as their European base and does have a high level of technology. Ireland is a very modern country.
  8. Ireland is a more easy-going and relaxed country, with friendly people.
  9. Ireland has a long and interesting history, going back thousands of years.
  10. Ireland is a very beautiful country.

That is purely subjective and purely a matter of opinion. The cultures of both are different. Ireland's population density is lower and they use the Euro - impossible to answer without bias
