Any amount inhaled is harmful:

Tricalcium Phosphate when inhaled is harmful. Here is the proof. This is a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) which states:

"The substance is toxic to lungs, mucous membrane."

Frequent exposure may cause particulates to lodge in the lungs. One case showed crystallosis in the lymph glands of a woman who used dental powder containing Tricalcium Phosphate. Beta TCP has been banned, in some forms, for use as a bone filler.

Use only pure cornstarch as baby powder, if you use anything. Rotate the bottle with your wrist intsead of shaking the bottle. The powder will tumble through the holes gently. Never shake the powder. ANY particulate can be unhealthy when inhaled.

Well I'm not a doctor or anything but I'm still living. i was eating powder for a long time now the affects to me are addiction i love to eat dry stuff eg. first it was sand and chalk , then baby powder, dry oats and flour my mom thinks I'm crazy but im not i don't think it is gud to eat it because of talc , talc is rocks and isn't that good to consume. lately I've been having low iron so i think these things can cause low iron and low blood. SO it isn't good OK plz try to stop i wish i could. i also think it can cause cancer after a while in the lung and dry out blood which the body needs to survive. and is not good for digestion i hope i helped u. if not ask a doctor PS I'm only 15 and a smart one too

If in large amounts, yes, but I don't think people would put harmful substances in something meant for BABIES.
