Is it more expensive to order prefabricated trusses and get a crane or build the trusses on site?
prefabricated trusses and typically less expensive when they are fabricated for repetitive use in housing project with similarly designed roofs. If the roof is a standard Gable this helps in cost reduction. A Hip roof or a roof with numerous offsets with try or coffered ceilings it is more cost effective to stick frame or conventionally frame this roof. (answered by a framing contractor of 33 years)

A truss is an arrangement of structural members that are connected together to form a rigid framework. In most trusses, members are arranged in interconnected triangles. A tr…uss is also a medical term for a male hernia support.
\nAn open-frame N-truss without diagonal members, with rigid joints between the top and bottom chords and the verticals. Known also as open-frame truss or vierendeel truss.
A tubular truss is a truss that has struts and chords that arecomposed of cylindrical tubes or pipes. They are used for largeconstructions including factories, shopping malls,… and industryworksheds.
To build a popsicle stick truss bridge, you first need to decide what type of truss to use. Three common trusses are the Warren, Pratt, and Howe. Each of these is a strong des…ign, and it is up to you to choose which one you like the best. After you have the design, you can either build it by eyeballing it, or you can get plans from online. When you are building, concentrate on making the joints secure. Use a strong glue, such as WeldBond or CA glue. Use enough glue, but not too much. Build each side of the bridge and then join them together with either a zig-zag pattern or X's. It is also very important to make sure your bridge is straight up and down, that it is not leaning to one side. If it leans, it will fail much faster than if it was built well.
Trussing is tying something up tightly. Trussing is a method thatis used when roasting a chicken to allow even cooking.
truss is a structure comprising one or more triangular units constructed with straight members whose ends are connected at joints referred to as nodes

truss is a structure comprising one or more triangular units constructed with straight members whose ends are connected at joints referred to as nodes.
It functions by acute and obtuse angles creating a tension force. This also creates reaction forces so that the truss bridge can carry the load.
easily just build one
A truss is a diagonal brace which provides structural support for a bridge span by extending between a vertical member and the bridge span.
A Truss is an important structure type in structural engineering. So what are trusses? A Truss is a triangulated system of membersthat are structured and connected in a way suc…h that they onlyincur axial force. These members are considered two-force membersas the forces are only applied at either end of the member, resulting in either a compression or tension force. They arecommonly used as bridge designs, given their ability to efficientlyspan long distances. There are also faster ways to compute thetruss using a truss calculator which you can get online. The joints are typically pinned connections, such that no shear ormoment forces are transferred from member to member. This is amajor, yet commonly misunderstood, the difference between truss andframe structures. A frame member will typically take a combinationof shear, axial and bending forces; whereas a truss member willonly take axial force. Benefit of a Truss When designed correctly, trusses are an efficient way to span long distances whilstminimizing the amount of material used. This is because theinternal loads of the members are induced axially (in the directionof the member) in the form of compression or tension. This meansless material can be used, and the system as a whole is moreefficient, as the force is distributed among a number of members.
There are many places one might go to find more information concerning roof trusses. The most reputable source of information might be the local library.
