Oh, of course! Babies are naturally attached to their mothers, and still young, feel unprotected without them. My friend had a baby not too long ago, and even if she goes to the bathroom or walks away for one minute, the baby will start crying, because she wants her mother. My daughter would do that all the time, and as soon as I would come back she would stop. Hope this helps! :)
