well, yes it is normal, that discharge might be your "mucus plug" and yes that sounds to me like labor, sometimes women can have a painless birth with out the help of local anasthtics and your DR. might have to give you a med. to feel the pain so that you are able to helb your child.good luck.

Should be right after, since normally water breaks after you feeling contractions in minutes apart as sign of early labor phase
Average discharge time for a man lies between 3 and 7 minutes.
Call the doctor, like now
Call the hospital an ask their advice but they will probably tell you to wait until the contractions are coming every 5 minutes
99238 30 minutes or less; 99239 more than 30 minutes
In this phase, contractions are longer and more regular, usually occurring about every two minutes. These stronger contractions are also more painful.
Any type of greenish discharge means that there is an infection present, which could be the reason for the sore cervix. If someone has greenish discharge it could also be a yellowish green, greenish white, or a slight variation of tint, but any type of greenish discharge is an alert of infection. Call your local OBGYN and schedule a pap smear. All they will do is take a look at your cervix and swab it with something like looks just like a Q-Tip. The procedure doesn't take any longer than 10 minutes and your on your way home. You'll have to wait a week or so for your results but if they notice a definite infection, they will prescribe antibiotics right there, and most likely they will prescribe something on the spot if they can see the discharge. They only cost 4 dollars if you go to the Walmart Pharmacy.
You could be having what they call braxton hicks contractions...this is your uterus preparing for your baby to be born...Congrats on your pregnancy! Or you could be going in to Labor!
You know you are in labor if you have contractions that you can time. This means any regular contractions that have a certain amount of minutes between them. If you have these for over 2 hours, and they get closer together but remain regular, you are in labor.
If your contractions are three min. apart then you probably already are in labor especially if you are already dilated and 80% effaced. If the contractions aren't regular then you aren't in labor but if it turns out that your not then you will most likely be going into labor really soon.
Do lunges and jump up and down it worked for me.
