They would not look normal or natural, and they would cause more problems than they would solve.
You may be self conscious about wearing orthodontic braces, but I can assure you they are not nearly as unattractive as you think they are. Besides that, part of the goal is to give you a beautiful attractive smile when it is all done. The several months that you will be wearing the braces may seem like forever right now, but the time is very short compared to the lifetime of a beautiful smile you will enjoy.
A lot of people would gladly put up with wearing braces to ultimately have an attractive smile, but it is not an option for them. Many times they simply do not have the money to pay for them. You on the other hand, have the opportunity to improve your smile for the rest of your life. Rather than feeling you HAVE TO wear braces, remember all those other people who DON'T GET TO wear braces. Count your blessings and look forward to the day when all this pays off.
I wear retainers since I took out my braces. I have lost three upper jaw teeth! My teeth are spacing out and need to replace the two missing teeth. Can i have dentures to replace missing teeth as well as wear retainers to keep the other remaining teeth in place?
Tx
yes because the braces would straigten your teeth still
possibly
Your teeth move, i wear a retainer and if i dont wear it every night my teeth will move, You will GET SPACES. wear your retainer everyday and night to have the best result.
If you don't wear your retainer, then your teeth will stick out and you have to wear braces again.
You'd probably break the retainer, another pair would be best.
If you don't wear your retainer, your teeth won't start to shift until about a week from when you stopped wearing it.
they don't keep your teeth straight forever unless you wear your retainer after wards for a few years but if you even stop wearing your retainer for a few nights you will see your teeth starting to back to the way they were before. so orthodontists recommend wearing your retainer for at least 3 years after you get your braces out.
no, if you stop wearing the retainer the teeth will move back, your jaw bone dosent change!
Yes wear the retainer trust me it's worth it.. Your teeth will shift otherwise..
You should never take your retainer out for more than a day! Wearing your retainer everyday(whether it be daytime or night) keeps your teeth in place. Even if you go a few days without wearing one and you put it in, your teeth will feel very tight because they have shifted already. Everyday you don't have it on, your teeth move more and more. Word of advise: WEAR YOUR RETAINER!
no they straighten them your teeth and after that if you wear a retainer for 6- 9 months your teeth will be straight if you don't they will go crooked then
Why certainly, I am 15 and I wear braces. I have heard that, depending on the severity of the problem, only a retainer is necessary to achieve the desired straightening. It is supposed to much cheaper too. An orthodontic appliance (straightening retainer) doesn't really make teeth more straight, even if the correction needed is minor. If you are not comfortable wearing braces, you can ask your dentist about invisalign.
It depends on how much your teeth have shifted. If you can get your retainer back in your mouth, you probably don't need to go back into braces. Mind you, the retainer will be quite uncomfortable for a few days as the teeth move. Remember, you must wear your retainer daily for several years, or your teeth will shift. If you are simply not self-disciplined enough to wear a removable retainer, ask your orthodontist for a fixed retainer. This will be some sort of metal bar or wire that is cemented in place.
Yes they will, I got my braces off around 10 months ago, and I didn't wear my retainer to school, and now my teeth have gone back into an overbite.. lol. I'm so pissed, yeah your teeth will move back, and then you can't get them to go back into place. -_-
