Is Leon in Resident Evil 5?

I deleted the post before this because most people been looking for the answer for the films. He isn't dead in the games. (Just to clear that up) Now I did some research a while back and found it again. This is what I found:

In the movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Jill is portrayed by Sienna Guillory. Early in the film, a newspaper article in her apartment hints at her dismissal from the S.T.A.R.S. unit and her involvement with Nemesis. It also states that Jill was suspended from S.T.A.R.S. after the death of her partner, Leon S. Kennedy.

According to Paul Anderson's non-canon film continuity, Leon was Jill Valentine's partner during the Arklay Mtns. incident (Spencer Mansion) and he was killed protecting Jill. Because of this, Leon has no physical appearance in RE: Apocalypse.

Although due to the success of his recent film RE: Afterlife, Paul Anderson says he would like for Leon to make an appearance in the 5th RE film, so it is VERY likely that the story of Leon being Jill's deceased partner will be done away with, and Leon will have his own backstory for the 5th film's continuity. Only time will tell what Leon's role in the film series will officialy be. Until then, it is mere speculation.

Seems like it but no, He can't be, because he is in resident evil 4, operation raccon city is set in 1998 between resident evil 2 & 3 before that. But i may be wrong, but pretty sure he isn't dead
