Milk in its natural state is inhomogeneous. It contains cream and other solids not evenly distributed.

But Homogenized milk has the cream and other solids uniformly spread throughout the volume of the material.

As it comes from the cow, it's heterogeneous. If it is sold as 'Homogenized' yes it has been thru a homogenization process to break down the bigger blobs of butter fat so that does not separate into distinct layer in your refrigerator. BUT … If you examine it microscopically, you see that it is still made of many tiny components.

Milk is a colloid, and is, in fact, heterogeneous because if you look at it under a microscope you can see little globs of fat, but under the naked eye it will look like it is homogeneous.
