The smaller the particles, the faster they break down. So, newpaper pulp would break down much faster than a whole sheet of newspaper.
Newspaper in or as a major component of compost is actually very healthy for plants. Newspaper is made of wood pulp and wood is a natural component in the earth's eco system. It is a great compost item in that most inks are biodegradeble and the wood pulp in paper is finely shredded wood allowing for a rapid breakdown of the fibers, which translates in to a quick composting material. Layers of newspaper are a wonderful weed control method as well as a good source of compost for your plants. You can place them several sheets thick around the plants and apply a thin layer of conventional mulch or other organic material.
You can put the pulp in a smoothie or just compost it.
They clean the newspaper so that it looks good as new! re-pulp it. then make new paper from that pulp.
the first newspaper was made in sheet harbour nova Scotia in Canada from wood pulp but the thing used to turn wood pulp into paper was flooded away
Compost adds nutrients and phytonutrients to the soil and also makes the soil looser and easier to work.
you can make compost out of old food that is too old to eat. you can also put in old fruit and vegetable peelings of crumbled egg shells. also, a layer of newspaper every month does your compost well.
This may not be completely helpful but any organic food material usually can be made into a compost. Pits, cob, chicken bones and such are sometimes mulched with other organics into soil to help fertilize the dirt to help with the growing of plants or other friut. The main reason this is so helpful is due to the iron, calcium and other natural deposits food still has when you are finished with it. Use a plastic bag to line the pulp ejector of the juicer. This will neatly catch the pulp, make clean up easier and also make it simple to compost them.
the major cause of newspaper yellowing is leftover processing acids in the pulp used to make the paper, not light.
If you have a small worm farm made out of crates, then you can put a thick wet newspaper at the bottom of the worms' bedding box. The worms will eventually eat this. You can use torn strips of wet newspaper (squeeze most of the water out) as part of their bedding, if you can't find well rotted compost or manure. You can use wet newspaper as food, or as a cover over the top of the food to keep out the light. When the worms start eating the newspaper cover, you know they want some more food.
The newspaper is made from wood pulp. Nightstands are made from wood.
Newspaper burns faster due to chemicals that are added when it is pulp. The ink that is used also has a reaction to the flames. All this gives newspaper a high ignition rate. i know this because i am doing a science fair project on it :) hope i helped <3 Sophie ^-^
