The common thing between polyamide and polyester is both are synthetic fibers fall under class man made fibers.

Nylon is commonly known as polyamide. Developed by Dupoint. Polyamide (nylon) is first engineering thermoplastic. It is one of many hetrochain thermoplastics, which as atoms other than C in the chain. It is created when condensation reaction occurs between aminoacids, dibasicacids and diamines.

Polyester is any long chain synthetic polymer, where 85% (of weight) of the polymer is an ester and therphthalic acid. Most polyestr made from polyethylene terephtalate. Properties varies depending on their composition web structuring and processing. Its the inexpensive fiber which brought reveloution in textile industry.

Both polyester and polyamides have similar properties. Neither is necessarily stronger than the other; however, the polyester does perform better than the polyamide in certain applications. The most common polyamide is nylon, but silk and wool are also polyamides.

No, polyester is both the name of the type of fiber and the polymer that this fiber is composed of, knit is a way fabric is made (e.g. polyester knit, wool knit, cotton knit) by interlocking loops of yarn with knitting needles or on a machine.

Polyester fabrics could also be woven instead of knitted.

Is silk stronger than polyester?

Most likely wool or polyester.

What is virgin polyester?

Polyester, a particular polyamide, is a synthetic fibre used from a plethora of organically/naturally found and fabricated chemicals. Virgin Polyester, I believe, is the first iteration of the polyester polyamide before it is recycled and forged for a second, third, and fourth time over, etc., into some other polyester item.

Why is polyamide stronger than polyethylene?

The molecular structure of polyamides are impecable and superior to polyethylenes because of the amino group at the end of the chain.

What fabric is used for cloth diapers?

Some of the most popular fabrics used when making cloth diapers are: Bamboo, fleece (polyester), cotton, hemp, microfibre (75% polyester and 25% polyamide), polyurethane laminate and wool.

What are microfibers made of?

Microfibers are made of a blend of polyester and polyamide fibers, combined to produce fabric that is superior for water absorption and cleaning around the home and garage.

Which rope is stronger leather rope or regular rope?

Leather rope can be stronger than regular woven ropes, such as jute or flax. But synthetic rope (nylon, polyester) has many more fibers than leather, or any natural fiber, and for the same diameter will be much stronger.

Are polyamide and nylon the same material?

Nylon is a polyamide.

What is polyamide yarn?

Polyamide is usually known as nylon.

Is 210 denier a polyester or nylon?

Denier polyester is fabric and the higher the number, the thicker and stronger it is. 210 would be thin like silk.

What is the difference between 420D nylon bags or 600D polyester bag Which is cheaper and more durable?

In both cases, the "D" stands for the word "denier", which is a measure of the fineness of the material. Specifically, the word refers to the weight (in grams) of 9,000 meters of the fiber from which the material is made. In simpler terms, it means that a higher denier fabric is stronger and more durable than the same type of fabric with a lower denier rating. However, when comparing two different types of fabrics, such as polyester and nylon, it is important to note that because each fabric has different weights, 600D polyester fabric is not equal to 600D nylon fabric in terms of strength. In general, nylon is a stronger fabric type than polyester, and 420D nylon fabric, for example, is actually stronger than 600D polyester
