Treat your skin gently. Scrubbing too much will cause your sensitive skin to flake and look even worse. My favorite oily skin creme is Body Shop brand tea tree oil mattifying gel moisturizer. It give your skin moisture (yes even oily skin needs moisture) and sucks up the oil. Unlike regular creams, it dries and leaves your skin smooth and not shiny. Then put foundation over it if you want to wear foundation. I highly recommend mineral powder foundation over creme. Use a creme concealer to dab over the dark circles or pimple spots, not all over. The mineral foundation will absorb into your skin and give you a natural glow that creme foundation does not. Oh, I forgot..drink TONS of water. It's hard I know. And yes, you will pee a lot. When I remember to do so, my face clears up always. I suffer from wonderful adult acne so believe me I know.

∙ 14y agoI have very oily skin and I find that if you wash your face before you put the foundation on and then moisturise with moisturiser for oily skin then apply the foundation - I use Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid - your skins looks very natural, it has a bit of a skin but also has a matte finish. They used to sell something called Maybelline SuperStay Silky Foundation, which is moisturiser and foundation together, but I think they have discontinued it and replaced it with Dream Satin Liquid. Any foundation is good as long as it hasn't got an oil base, so just ask the make-up assistants if you get the store an are having trouble. =)

∙ 12y agoThere are certain brands of makeup that are available for people with oily skin. Some products will actually say that it is suitable for those with oily skin, its probably best to use a mineral powder because its quite natural and will definitely reduce any shine on your face and it wont block pores. If you are using a foundation/concealer that is a liquid and it makes your skin look more oily, go over it with a powder, this will lessen any shine as well.

Liquid foundations are the suggested method of foundation for oily skin due to the fact that they are made for combination skin types.

∙ 9y agoIt is not suggested or recommended to use liquid foundation on oily skin. If you absolutely want to use liquid you are most likely to have to use powder to mattify it. Powder or cream is best for oily skin. Mac has some great selections that might interest you however i would still use powder for oily skin.

∙ 10y agoThe best type of facial for oily skin would include a clay mask. The clay dries up the oil on the face without drying out the skin. Any facial that helps unclog pores is good to try.

Does liquid foundation work well?
It depends on what you are trying to do. If you are trying to cover up a pimple, then it works pretty good. But you are still see a slight bump, but less noticeable. Also it covers up redness. Liquid foundation can make your skin oily. When you are finished wearing it, it would be a very good idea to wash or face.

Oh, there are many factor to what foundation you should pick. First of all is your skintype. If you have oily skin you should probably pick a powder foundation or a liquid foundation with almost a powdery finish. If you have dry skin you should pick a creamy foundation that hydrates the skin. There is also how much coverage you want, what price range etc.
