Answer 1

Allah has granted us wisdom, brain, and heart to judge for ourselves. Muhammad the son of `Abdullah is Allah's Prophet and the Final Messenger Sent by Allah to the Inhabitants of Earth. My brothers and sisters everywhere! You should know that the Messenger, Muhammad the son of `Abdullah (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) is Allah's Messenger in reality and truth. The evidences that show his veracity are abundant. None but an infidel, who out of arrogance alone, could deny these signs.

Among these proofs:

1. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) was raised illiterate, unable to read or write, and remained like that till his death. Among all his people, he was known as being truthful and trustworthy. Before receiving revelation, he had no prior knowledge of Religion or any previously sent Message. He remained like that for his first forty years. Revelation then came to Muhammad with the Koran that we now have between our hands. This Koran mentioned most of the accounts found in the previous scriptures, telling us about these events in the greatest detail as if he witnessed them. These accounts came precisely as they were found in the Torah sent down to Moses and in the Gospel sent down to Jesus. Neither the Jews or Christians were able to belie him regarding anything that he said.

2. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) also foretold of everything that would occur to him and his community after him, pertaining to victory, the removal of the tyrannical kingdoms of Chosroes [the royal title for the Zoroastrian kings of Persia] and Caesar, and the establishment of the religion of Islam throughout the earth. These events occurred exactly as Muhammad foretold, as if he was reading the future from an open book.

3. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) also brought an Arabic Koran that is the peak of eloquence and clarity. The Koran challenged those eloquent and fluent Arabs of his time, who initially belied him, to bring forth a single chapter like the Koran. The eloquent Arabs of his day were unable to contest this Koran.

Indeed, till our day, none has ever dared to claim that he has been able to compose words that equal-or even approach-the order, grace, beauty, and splendor of this Glorious Koran.

4. The life history of this Noble Prophet was a perfect example of being upright, merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, generous, distant from all evil character, and ascetic in all worldly matters, while striving solely for the reward of the Hereafter. Moreover, in all his actions and dealings, he was ever mindful and fearful of Allah.

5. Allah instilled great love for Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) in the hearts of all who believed in and met him. This love reached such a degree that any of his companions would willingly sacrifice his (or her) self, mother or father for him.

Till today, those who believe in Muhammad honor and love him. Anyone of those who believe in him would ransom his own family and wealth to see him, even if but once.

6. All of history has not preserved the biography of any person in the manner it has preserved the life of Muhammad, who is the most influential human in history.

Nor has the entire earth known of anyone whom every morning and evening, and many times thereafter throughout the day, is thought of by those who believe in him. Upon remembering Muhammad, the believers in him will greet him and ask Allah to bless him. They do such with full hearts and true love for him.

7. Nor has there every been a man on earth whom is still followed in all his doings by those who believe in him.

Those who believe in Muhammad, sleep in the manner he slept; purify themselves (through ablution and ritual washing) in the manner he purified himself; and adhere to his practice in the way they eat, drink, and clothe themselves.

Indeed in all aspects of their lives, the believers in Muhammad adhere to the teachings he spread among them and the path that he traveled upon during his life.

During every generation, from his day till our time, the believers in this Noble Prophet have fully adhered to his teachings. With some, this has reached the degree that they desire to follow and adhere to the Prophet's way in his personal matters regarding which Allah has not sought of them to adhere to in worship. For example, some will only eat those specific foods or only wear those specific garments that the Messenger liked.

Let alone all that, all those who believe in Muhammad repeat those praises of Allah, special prayers, and invocations that he would say during each of his actions during day and night, like: what he would say when he greeted people, upon entering and leaving the house, entering and leaving the mosque, entering and leaving the bathroom, going to sleep and awaking from sleep, observing the new crescent, observing the new fruit on trees, eating, drinking, dressing, riding, traveling and returning from travel, etc.

Let alone all that, all those who believe in Muhammad fully perform-even to the minute detail-every act of worship-like prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage-as this Noble Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) taught and as he himself performed.

All of this allows those who believe in him, to live their lives in all aspects with this Noble Messenger as their example, as if he was standing before them, for them to follow in all their doings.

8. There has never been nor will there ever be a man anywhere upon this earth who has received such love, respect, honor, and obedience in all matters-small and large alike-as has this Noble Prophet.

9. Since his day, in every region of the earth and during every period, this Noble Prophet has been followed by individuals from all races, colors and peoples. Many of those who followed him were previously Christians, Jews, pagans, idolaters, or without any religion. Among those who chose to follow him, were those who were known for their sound judgment, wisdom, reflection, and foresight. They chose to follow this Noble Prophet after they witnessed the signs of his truthfulness and the evidences of his miracles. They did not choose to follow Muhammad out of compulsion or coercion or because they had adopted the ways of their fathers and mothers.

Indeed many of the followers of this Prophet (may Allah's blessings peace be upon him), chose to follow him during the time when Islam was weak, when there were few Muslims, and when there was severe persecution of his followers on earth. Most people who have followed this Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) have done so not to acquire some material benefits. Indeed many of his followers have suffered the greatest forms of harm and persecution as a result of following this Prophet. Despite all this harm and persecution, this did not turn them back from his religion.

My brethren! All of this clearly indicates to anyone possessing any sense, that this Prophet was truly and really Allah's messenger and that he was not just a man who claimed prophethood or spoke about Allah without knowledge.

10. With all this, Muhammad came with a great religion in its credal and legal make-up.

Muhammad described Allah with qualities of complete perfection, and at the same time in a manner that is free of ascribing to Him any imperfection. Neither the philosophers or the wise could ever describe Allah like such. Indeed it is impossible to imagine that any human mind could conceive of an existing being that possesses such complete ability, knowledge, and greatness; Who has subdued the creation; Who has encompassed everything in the universe, small or large; and Who possesses such perfect mercy.

Nor is it in the ability of any human being to place a perfect law based upon justice, equality, mercy and objectivity for all human activity on earth like the laws that Muhammad brought for all spheres of human activity - like buying and selling, marriage and divorce, renting, testimony, custody, and all other contracts that are necessary to uphold life and civilization on earth.

11. It is impossible that any person conceive wisdom,, morals, good manners, nobleness of characters as what this honorable Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) brought.

In a full and complete manner, Muhammad spread a teaching regarding character and manners toward one' parents, relatives, fiends, family, humanity, animals, plants and inanimate objects. It is impossible for the human mind alone to grasp all of that teaching or come with a similar teaching.

All of that unequivocally indicates that this Messenger did not bring an) of this religion from his own accord, but that it was rather a teaching and inspiration that he received from the One Who created the earth and the high heavens above and created this universe in its miraculous architecture and perfection.

12. The legal and credal make-up of the religion that the Messenger, Muhammad, (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) brought resembles the engineering of the heavens and the earth. All of that indicates that He who created the heavens and the earth is the One Who sent down this great law and upright religion.

The degree of inimitability of the Divine law that was sent down upon Muhammad is to the same degree of inimitability of the Divine creation of the heavens and earth. For just as humanity cannot create this universe, in the same manner humanity cannot bring forth a law like Allah's law that He sent down upon His servant and messenger Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him).

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh) IN The Bible

islam101.com/religions/Christianity/mBible.htm

islamreligion.com/articles/169/

Answer 2 Yes he is he is the last prophet from god to the Muslims.

Answer 3 The simple answer is: Mohammad is not a prophet even though Muslims consider him as a prophet like the prophets in the Bible. The reasons he is not a prophet are the following:

  1. He never prophesied anything and did not know about the future according to Quran (Only those who foretold the future were called prophets in the Bible)
  2. Prophethood was his own claim and he could not produce any evidence (The prophets of the Bible were able to produce evidence for their claim)
  3. People of his time accused him of making up stories and revelations that they have heard before. He could not produce anything to disprove them.
  4. Mohammad produced many revelations that are contrary to the revelations received by the prophets of the Bible which Qur'an considers as real prophets. For example, Jewish prophets Isaiah and Daniel foretold the death of Messiah (Jesus) for the sins of the people. However, in Mohammad's revelation Jesus did not die.
  5. Mohammad produced revelations that are historically and scientifically proven wrong. Example: a) the death of Jesus on the cross is a historical fact which he denied, b) Alexander the great died at his old age according to Mohammed but historically he died at the age of 33, and c) sun sets in a muddy pond according to Mohammad.
  6. Mohammad violated his own revelations by taking 9 wives at one time while only 4 is allowed in the Qur'an. Later, he brought another revelation to allow his violation (Biblical prophets were punished if they disobeyed God's law).
  7. Mohammad made his followers to pray towards a Black Stone (which is another form of idol worship) which God of the Bible never commanded anyone to do (Pagans used to worship this way at Kaaba).
  8. Mohammad always came up with a favorable revelation just for him whenever he violated ethical and moral human values. For example: when he wanted to marry his daughter-in-law and when his wives complained about him going to slave girls for intimacy, he got new revelations allowing him to do these immoral things.
  9. Mohammad used sword to convert many to his new religion which none of the Biblical prophets did (Prophets never used force to convert anyone).
  10. Mohammad was not an ideal person of any time to follow his examples (marring 9-year old Iesha and daughter-in-law, killing his critics, kissing the Black Stone and running around it like the pagans) which is not apt for a prophet of God.

Answer 4

It depends on who is answering the question. To Muslims, the answer is very clear: Muhammad is the last and greatest of all the prophets, and no other prophet is his equal. Muslims say as their article of faith: "There is no God but the One God (Allah) and Muhammad is His messenger." But to Christians and Jews, while Muhammad was certainly an important historical figure who was the founder of a major religion, he is not considered a prophet. Christians and Jews only accept the men and women mentioned in the Holy Bible as prophets. They also do not accept the Qur'an (Koran) as sacred scripture, while for Muslims, what is in the Qur'an must be observed, since it is the teachings of Allah, as conveyed by his chosen prophet.

Moses is highly-regarded in both the Christian and Islamic faiths. He was a descendent of the tribe of Levi, one of the twelve sons of Jacob, who was renamed Israel. Muhammad's genealogy is not mentioned in the Koran, but he is said to be a descendent of Ishmael, NOT Israel.

According to Deuteronomy 18:15, Moses told the children of Israel that God would raise up a Prophet who will be like him 'of thy brethren.' Therefore, he must be a descendent of Abraham's promised son Jacob, not Ishmael:

Deut 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken.

Christian teaching is that a prophet who makes a prediction that doesn't occur is not a prophet sent by the LORD, and this was actually said by Moses himself:-

Deu 18:18 I will raise up a prophet like you [ie Moses] for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them whatever I command.

Deu 18:19 I will personally hold responsible anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet speaks in my name.

Deu 18:20 "But if any prophet presumes to speak anything in my name that I have not authorized him to speak, or speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.

Deu 18:21 Now if you say to yourselves, 'How can we tell that a message is not from the LORD?' -

Deu 18:22 whenever a prophet speaks in my name and the prediction is not fulfilled, then I have not spoken it; the prophet has presumed to speak it, so you need not fear him."

Islam has made many prophecies and predictions that have not occurred - see "http://answering-Islam.org/Shamoun/false_prophecies.htm"

Denying that Jesus is God's Son makes that person one of many antichrists to come:-

1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is a last hour, and as you heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have risen up, from which you know that it is a last hour.

1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they were of us, they would have remained with us; but they left so that it might be revealed that they all are not of us.

1Jn 2:20 And you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

1Jn 2:21 I did not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because every lie is not of the truth.

1Jn 2:22 Who is the liar, except the one denying, saying that Jesus is not the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one denying the Father and the Son.

1Jn 2:23 Everyone denying the Son does not have the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father.

Answer

By applying the requirements of a prophet from both the Old Testament (Jewish Theology) combined with Christian New Testament theology, Muhammad must be regarded a false prophet.

Moses set the criterion for prophets to come from among the tribes of Israel - the Jewish people. Muhammad was not an Israelite. Many Muslims fallaciously point to this as proof that Muhammad was a prophet and claim that Muhammad's alleged descent from Ishmael would suffice. However, examination of the scriptures prove otherwise.

In regard to Christian theology, Jesus set the criterion whereby a false prophet can be distinguished. Many of these features fit the message delivered by Islam.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves."

Matthew 7:15 (ESV)

Muhammad was a violent warlord who violated the commandments of God in the Old and New Testament. He was an aggressor and was personally involved in the slaughter of thousands of people as well as the enslavement of children.

Muhammad, who claimed to be a prophet, was like a ravenous wolf.

In the next verse Jesus tells us the manner by which we may recognise these false prophets.

"You will recognize them by their fruits."

Matthew 7:16 (ESV)

Muhammad bore bad fruit. In his time Muhammad trained his followers to be ravenous warriors - slaughtering innocent tribes, stealing from innocent tribes and merchants, murderous savages killing anyone who criticised Muhammad's self proclamation to prophethood, Followers of Muhammad have a track record of being bad fruit - constantly ignoring God's commandments in favor of Muhammad's unrighteous proclamations.

Some examples of Muhammad directly conflicting with what Jesus commanded:

"And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others.Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Matthew 6:5-6

In Islam, those who pray in public so that all can see are considered 25 or 27 times better than those who pray in private (Note, the contradiction of being either 25 times better or 27 times better.)

"And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Matt 6:7-8 (ESV)

Muhamad went directly against this commandment, once again. In Islam prayer is repetitive recitations of Surahs in Arabic. Statistically, most people reciting these empty Surahs do not understand the words or language they are saying.

These are just some of the warnings of false prophets that Muhammad fits as set out in the New Testament.

AnswerWARNING

The answer below mine is a horrendous joke riddled with blasphemy against the Bible. It is full of mindless Zakir Naik/Ahmed Deedat Propaganda and demonstrates many elementary and basic misunderstandings of what the Bible says.

This is my clearing up of the false claims made below in the 'Islamic Opinion' section

For example, Deut 18:18 says that the prophet will come from AMONG THE ISRAELITES. Muhammad was NOT an Israelite. Therefore, the prophecy directly excludes Muhammad.

Any alternative claim to this requires ignoring what the prophecy claims. This is unscholarly and illogical.

I will raise up a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell the people everything I command him.

Deut 18:18 NLT

Similarly, the verse states that God (Yahweh) will put his words directly into the prophets mouth just like with all the other prophets of the Bible. Muhammad did not receive any revelations directly from God into his mouth. Muhammad allegedly received revelations from an angel claiming to be from God. At this time, it is logical to note that Satan was a fallen angel. Whether or not the prophecies were received from a fallen angel or Muhammad's over active imagination - I will not speculate. But what is certain is that Islamic sources tell us that God did not directly put his words into Muhammad's mouth.

Regarding their claim in Deuteronomy 34:10 they go on to prove their illogical behaviour at an all new level. I honestly am confused as to what they are trying to imply and I fail to see any logical rational behind it. The verse reads:

Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, or all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land, and for all the mighty power and for all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.

Deut 34:10-12

The writer below manages to interpret that statement as saying that, "God swt says that there will raise no prophet like Moses as in Israël, after his dead". The verse obviously makes no such claim.

The verse does not say that no one from among the Israelites will be a prophet. It clearly states, "Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses". The verse is simply saying that the prophecy set out in Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18 has not been fulfilled.

To then go on and say that this means the prophet will be an Arab makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

As is evident, the verse has nothing to do with Muhammad. In fact, it sets down criterion which directly exclude Muhammad as being the prophet.

AnswerBy the standards of Jewish and Christian theology embodied within the Bible, Muhammad was a false prophet. Muhammad within the Qur'an claimed he would be found within the Bible, however, there is not a single prophecy of Muhammad within the entire Bible.

Muslims frantacilly search for verses in the Bible but this is a fruitless search. By Muhammad's own criteria, he is not a prophet of God.

AnswerBismillah (In the name of God)

Before I answer, I want to say that I hate it, that my answer always is changed by other's (probably Christians). If you do not like the truth(my answer), produce a better answer without changing my answer, because deleting (parts of) my answer is very low.

Quran 2:42 "And cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is)."

Quran 2:109 "Quite a number of the People of the Book wish they could turn you (people) back to infidelity after ye have believed, from selfish envy, after the truth hath become manifest unto them: But forgive and overlook, till Allah brings about his command; for Allah Hath power over all things."

Islamic Opinion:You can give those websites , but they are not true, because I also can give websites that claim that the prophecies were fulfiled.

And for the people that think that this is a Deedat or Zakir Naik answer, he's wrong. This is my own researche and you can search all their videos, you will never find a answer like this one (because it is my own unique answer).

(deuteronomy 18:18):

Deuteronomy 18:18 is linked to Deuteronomy 34:10 and 32:21.

Let's see what both verses say.

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee(Moses), and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

Comment: interesting!, so there will be a prophet risen that must be like Moses pbuh. We can say for that "their" is the Jews(some say the whole world and not only Jews). And that we do not know what "bretheren" means, because of the semetic language culture, so the word has many meanings!

ok, now let's see the other verse(s).

Deuteronomy chapter 34 is going about the dead of Moses as.

[34:10] Since then(dead of Moses), no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face.

So it must be a prophet from another nation, because God swt says that there will raise no prophet like Moses pbuh in Israël, after his dead. This verse says, there will be risen prophets in Israel, but not one of them is like Moses pbuh. So this verse excludes every prophet that is born (or from) Israel.

This verse also proofs the fact that the word "bretheren" (deuteronomy 18:18) is revering to the Arabs and not to the Jews. If it is not Muhammed pbuh, than we are still waiting for this prophet.

(And there are bible translations with the word "israelites" in stead of "bretheren", this translation is a false one, because in Hebrew tekst (original) it says bretheren, not israelites. (it is the same as translating baqara(Arabic word for cow) to ox (English word) so that English people will think that it was the ox, and not the cow.).

.

So if we first read Deuteronomy 32:21, then 34:10 and then 18:18, you will understand why the prophet mentioned in deuteronomy 18:18 is Mohammed pbuh and why Jews(and Christians) did not accept him.

"and I (God Almighty) will move them (the Jews) to jealousy with those (the Arabs) which are NOT A PEOPLE (a non-entity): I will provoke them (the Jews) to anger with a FOOLISH NATION," |the pre-Islamic Arabs)

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee(Moses), and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

" Since then(Moses's dead), no prophethas risen in Israel like Moses, whom theLORD knew face to face."

.

And Mohammed's (pbuh) grandfathers are Ismaël and Abraham (pbut).

proof: The genacology of Mohammed pbuh.

Proof that Muhammed pbuh was not the prophet of deuteronomy 18:18?God sent the angel Gabriel* to teach Muhammad* the exact words that he should repeat to the people. This fact contradicts Deuteronomy 18:18 as Muhammad received his revelation through the angel Gabriel (Jibreel) and not directly from God as the prophecy tells.

Muhammed pbuh did speak directly with God swt, just like Moses pbuh.

Proof: The mi'raaj + Isra (Night journey) that is mentioned in

Surah 17 verse 1 & 60, surah 53 verse 1 to 20,

In Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 93, Number 608:

...Then Moses stopped him when the prayers had been reduced to five and said, "O Muhammad! By Allah, I tried to persuade my nation, Bani Israel to do less than this, but they could not do it and gave it up. However, your followers are weaker in body, heart, sight and hearing, so return to your Lord so that He may lighten your burden."

The Prophet turned towards Gabriel for advice and Gabriel did not disapprove of that. So he ascended with him for the fifth time. The Prophet said, "O Lord, my followers are weak in their bodies, hearts, hearing and constitution, so lighten our burden." On that the Irresistible(Allah) said, "O Muhammad!" the Prophet replied, "Labbaik and Sa'daik." Allah said, "The Word that comes from Me does not change, so it will be as I enjoined on you in the Mother of the Book." Allah added, "Every good deed will be rewarded as ten times so it is fifty (prayers) in the Mother of the Book (in reward) but you are to perform only five (in practice)."

Sahih bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 228:

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

Regarding the Statement of Allah" "And We granted the vision (Ascension to the heavens) which We made you see (as an actual eye witness) was only made as a trial for the people." (17.60)

Ibn Abbas added: The sights which Allah's Apostle was shown on the Night Journey when he was taken to Bait-ulMaqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) were actual sights, (not dreams). And the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Quran is the tree of Zaqqum (itself) .

So the prophet did not dream the journey!

.

Quran 6:91

No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say: "Nothing doth Allah send down to man (by way of revelation)" Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?- a light and guidance to man: But ye make it into (separate) sheets for show, while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not - neither ye nor your fathers." Say: "Allah (sent it down)", then leave them to plunge in vain discourse(talk) and trifling.

According to islamic sources, the Qur'an was introduced to 'Muhammad' by the parental cousin( 'Waraka ibn Nawfal' ), of his first wife 'Kadijah'.

Waraka was a Roman Catholic Ebionite Priest living in Mecca, and one who had made detailed studies of the Christian Gospels and the Old Testament scriptures.
Muslim tradition maintains that Waraka was one of the believers in the Age of Ignorance, meaning that he was a believer before the prophecy of Muhammad. Waraka would frequently contemplate and pray at the Kaaba and began to read the Biblical texts in their original language and even learned to read Hebrew.

As Muhammad grew in age, Waraka's influence over him and knowledge of the sacred scriptures increased, which may help to explain the similarity between the Qur'an and the Holy Bible. Several years later, during Muhammad's reported first revelation (which is understood to be Q. XCVI: 1-5), Waraka recognized his call to prophecy as authentic and tradition recounts Waraka saying: "There has come to him the greatest Law that came to Moses; surely he is the prophet of this people".
Waraka, upon accepting Muhammad's prophecy, remained a Christian and, in later accounts, was counted among Muhammad's companions.

Muhammad is later said to have said of Waraka: "Do not slander Waraka ibn Nawfal, for I have seen that he will have one or two gardens in Paradise."
