Yes, there is a show on GAC (Great American Country) channel Saturday nights at 8 PM eastern and is repeated Sundays at 7 PM eastern. The show is called 'Grand Ole Opry Live'.
As of October, 2009 this note can still be found on the GAC website:
"GAC's Opry Live is on Summer Vacation! The Opry on GAC will be on production hiatus through summer and we will return with new episodes in the fall. "
I haven't seen, read, or heard any news from Nashville.
I do believe that the economy situation may have something to do with it ~ for everything is so expensive these days.
Also, the Grand Ole Opry was one of my favorite shows on Saturday Night and sent through the radio wires by WSM Radio Station, in Nashville.
Like most things, the Grand Ole Opry isn't a major institution as it once was. By that, I mean that with cable networks, television shows, and the bad economy. The Grand Ole Opry will always be an important part of Country Music History, but, not like it was before the year 2000.
By saying this, there has been a bitter fight going on at the Grand Ole Opry with the management and the recording artists and performers. The management wants to get rid of the "has-beens" in the music business, and replace them with new and more exciting talent.
I don’t know if it’s on TV or not!!
Easy... a Artsit has to put on at least 100 shows a year AND sing at least once in the Grand Ole Opry and George never has. George Strait did appear on the Opry early in his career. When asked about becoming a member of the Opry, George said that he had never been asked. I really don't know if George would want to be in TN if it meant being away from his beloved Texas and family very long. I'm not sure about rules and regs on Opry member's quantity of performances. When was the last time member, Garth Brooks performed there?
He was living in Dayton TN around the late 90's which is about the time he retired from the Grand Ole Opry staff band.
Slipknot has not given a recent televised interview. The last time this band gave a televised interview was over a year ago in the year 2012. That is the most recent interview.
half past 6 channel 5 on Tuesday, I'm sure. check the guide and it should be around that time.
William Smith Monroe was born on September 11, 1911; in Rosine, Kentucky. He got his start by performing with his older brothers in the 1920's. They would perform at square dances and on radio as well. He joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1939, and his first hit was, "Mule Skinner Blues." Bill formed his band, "The Bluegrass Boys," which included soon to be famous Lester Flat, and Earl Scruggs. Lester Flat and Earl Scruggs split with Monroe in 1950 to go solo. Though he was never a popular radio artist, he has been given credit from such recording artists as Elvis Presley, George Jones, and Bob Dylan for influencing them. Up until the time of his death, Bill Monroe had a big following among the lovers of Blue Grass Music, and he continued to tour, and perform on the Grand Ole Opry. Some of his other hits included: "Orange Blossom Special" (1940), "Blue Moon of Kentucky" (1946), "Kentucky Waltz" (1946), "Uncle Pen" (1950), and "Walk Softly on this Heart of Mine" (1969). He was inducted as a member to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1970. He also received the Grammy Award for, "Best Bluegrass Recording" in 1988.
People fell in love with the Grand Ole Opry, when it was first broadcasted in 1928! As time has passed the Grand Ole Opry, has become a major institution in the field and the history of country music.
It is not being televised.
The invitation to the guests stated Noon (EST). It will be televised. You should turn your set on about 30 minutes early to be safe.
Actually it will be televised on Monday April 4 just before RAW it is not being televised live like it usually is.

The motorcade was not being televised at the time. Later, the government found (and later released) the Zapruder film, which shows the assassination.
Kate & William's royal wedding will be televised at 6:00 AM in Massachusetts, and coverage will be much earlier, depending on your channel. Telling you from Needham, MA, hope you can trust a fellow New Englander. ;)
