The ultrasaurus is the only one larger than the blue whale, measuring at 572 ft. long and 509 ft. tall. Believe it or not, it's true. And no, it's not a popular dino. This dinosaur had a NECK longer than the whale, surprisingly at 299 ft. This was a long necked herbivore, and it walked on all-fours. A scientist named Coalinsa Magyreds Gimadersfret (Russian) discovered this and a creature named Ocroplosaurus. It took 4 cranes to lift Ultrasaurus off the ground, considering it weighs about 23,001 tons (46,002,000 pounds!!!!!)!!!!! There is 2 complete skeletons. 9 are incomplete.

The largest whale species, the blue whale, is larger than any dinosaurs were when fully grown. They grow to be up to 89 feet long, weighing 190 tons, with the largest specimens being 98 feet long and 200 tons. The largest dinosaur was a species of long necked herbivore, or sauropod, called Argentinosaurus. They weighed 73 tons and were between 98 and 118 feet long when fully grown.

Both Sauroposeidon proteles and Bruhathkayosaurusmatleyi, from late Cretaceous, Maastrichtian stage, was even larger, and heavier, than Argentinosaurus.

Bruhathkayosaurusmatleyitibia fossil was 2 metres long, 29% longer than the Argentinosaurus; paleontologist Matt Wedel estimated this Bruhathkayosaurusspeciemen weighted 139 tons, after comparison with the Argentinosaurus fossil holotype.

However, this is not the end of the story (and probably will never be) about monstruous sized sauropods from the Cretaceousera.

Amazingly, Amphicoelias fragillimus was even longer and heavier. Only partial fossil bones were found until today from two subspecies, a hip bone, an «immense distal end of femur», sic., and two incredible large vertebrae.

Amphicoelias fragillimus had an estimated total length of 58 metres, or even longer. The total weight of this subspecies cannot be precisely estimated, until new fossil remains can be found.

BUT THE MOST PUZZLING QUESTIONS REMAINS:

- All life forms, since the Phanerozoic, were ALWAYS LARGER in the oceans than in dry land.

WHAT STILL UNDISCOVERED FOSSIL OF EVEN LARGER OPEN SEA REPTILIAE FROM THE MESOZOIC waits to be found, in depths of ocean sediments?

Will you send me your insights about this last question?

Depends on if you measure by weight and length. Blue whaes are heavier than even the biggest dinosaurs, but there might have been dinos that were taller.

No. According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, it says that the longest dinosaur is Amphicoelias, which can grow up to 40-60 meters (131-196 ft) long. But blue whales can grow up to only 33 meters (110 feet) long. Even Supersaurus can grow up to 35-40 meters (114-131 ft) long.

The blue whale isn't quite as long as the biggest dinosaur, but it weighs twice as much. Blue whales are up to 98 feet long with a weight of 180 tons, while Argentinosaurus were 100 to 115 feet long and weighed 80 tons.
