No. It can only make the animal suffer. This devise gives off an electrical pulse that these small animals may be able to feel. Read the label on this product before using around the guinea pig.

Does the riddex electronic pest repeller stop working?
The Riddex pest repeller produces high-frequency sound waves that are harmless to humans and pets (except rodents), but which are heard by insects and rodents and are supposed to drive them away. This may sound good in theory, but it doesn't work in practice. At best, electronic pest repellers may work for a few hours or days, but they apparently have no long-term effect on pests. Also, many people claim that they can hear a whining and/or buzzing noise made by the repellers. After numerous complaints, the company that produces Riddex agreed with the FTC to not make certain claims as to their product's effectiveness. Does riddex hurt hamsters?
There is some debate whether it will do anything at all. The device emits an ultrasonic whistle that is supposed to scare off mice and bugs but some people have found bugs have crawled up inside the unit. Watch the hamster and move the cage or move the unit if he starts getting agitated.
