You lose weight as soon as you start starving youself. You can lose 20 pounds in a month, Ive done it. But don't try a starvation diet. It is unhealthy and dangerous. You could develop an eating disorder. If you want to lose weight safely, try cutting down on junk food and eating healthier foods like yogurt, fruit, and protein. And of course, get daily exercise. Exercise tip: Swimming is great exercise, along with runnnig and playing sports like soccer or football.

From your question, I imagine that the purpose of you, starving yourself is to lose weight. If your goal is to lose weight, you are doing more harm than good. Yes, you will loose weight from starvation, but your body will go into self preservation mode, and sooner or later, you will begin to eat again. Your body will now "store" almost everything you eat, and you will soon gain back all the weight that you lost plus more. You will do better by eating many small meals throughout the day. Eat all of the fruit or vegetable that you like. Walk about half a mile a day until you can walk or run more. Lift weight every other day. Without knowing it you are extremely foolish and could end up Anorexic or Bulimic! Don't roll those eyes because there are more and more young women out there with this problem. It starts out where the young woman feels she's fat and hates the look of her body imagine. To many others she may be the perfect weight and very attractive, but she sees herself as over-weight. From the young to the elderly (in nursing homes) one thing EVERYONE can control is if they decide to eat and get very fat, or decide not to eat and get thin. By starving your body it will start to feed off itself. The above poster is correct in saying you should eat a well balanced diet, exercise (and drink 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water because it flushes fat and toxins out of the body.) Do it the smart way and get help from "Weight Watchers" which teaches you the tools to eat healthy and be the weight you should be for your height and body structure. Good luck hon

The only way to lose weight by starving is to truly starve.

If you have the means to eat, such as a pantry and refrigerator full of food or money to buy food while out, then you will not "starve" even if you don't eat. The reason why is your brain knows that food is available to you and so will not begin to burn through your fat stores. Instead, you will lose muscle mass and your metabolism will slow to a turtle's pace, while your body preserves the fat in your body for a TRUE famine.

However, if you were in a situation where you were truly starving, then you would start burning through fat. Say for example you were kidnapped and your kidnappers fed you two pieces of bread per day. Your brain would then trigger your body to burn through your fat stores, because your brain would know that food is NOT available to you and it would have to burn through fat (and muscle) in order to keep you alive as long as possible.

That's why you should also try to exercise and keep from eating junk food examples are chips, soda, cakes and etc. Also try eating vegetables. YES YOU CAN!!! You have to be very strict on yourself. The answer is vegetables! High fiber, low calories and low fat. The very best plan out there is Weight Watchers. It lets you have a wide variety, BUT the more veggies you eat to equal up to your points the more you will get to eat. And exercising for 20 mins lets you eat another point. A point can be either half a small cookie or a whole can of green beans. I am in the low weight category so i only get 20 points a day. I wouldn't eat 20 cans or green beans in a day i do need variety but its amazing the soups you can make that are very filling and tasty.
