If they drive with owners permission, yes. The owner may lose their ability to keep insurance if they allow a persn with a bad driving record to drive and they have an accident.

Will an uninsured licensed driver be ticketed when driving an insured car in an accident?

Yes. If the driver is not an insured, the uninsured driver can be ticketed even if the car itself is insured. In many U.S. states they will also impound the vehicle when it is found being driven by an uninsured driver. It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to insure that anyone you let drive has appropriate coverage. Unfortunate there is a lot of misinformation out there from laymen that erroneously informs people that anyone who drives the car is insured. This is simply not true. Your will have to see your policy definitions for a covered driver or contact your insurance agent for clarification of when a driver is considered covered under your the terms of your auto insurance policy.

Can a uninsured licensed driver drive an insured drivers car?

Presuming of course you have no reason to think they aren't uninsured because they are too irresponsible to drive safetly, it's fine. It's one reason you carry insurance that covers anyone who drives your car.

Does your insurance company covers you if the car you're driving isn't insured?

Maybe, (barring any exclusions in the policy), if an insured driver, drives an uninsured vehicle, many/most times their policy will kick in. However not always !! Sometimes, it will only come in for the first party damage. Many many questions would have to be answered (ie, do you drive this uninsured vehicle often? was this a one time thing? how long has this vehicle been uninsured? why were you driving it? and of course the facts of loss, re: are/were you negliegent, and at fault to begin with?) If you have had a loss/accident while driving an uninsured vehicle, turn the claim in to your carrier, immediately. If you haven't and are just wondering, I would NEVER on purpose drive an uninsured vehicle.

Does Broad Form Insurance cover a financed vehicle?

Broad Form auto coverage is as close as you can get to having no coverage at all. You cannot add physical damage coverage to your policy so you cannot buy this is you have a car financed. The coverage is for the named insured only and every other human on the planet is excluded. If anyone else drives there is no coverage. This is not anything that I as an insurance agent could ever recommend to someone.

How is one protected under car owners insurance when one drives and is in an accident with a party that does not have insurance?

You need to have uninsured motorist insurance as a rider on your insurance. If not you will have to sue the uninsured driver.

Is it necessary to carry uninsured motorist coverage in a no-fault state such as Florida?

Of course. Do you think that NO ONE ever drives without insurance? Be covered and be protected against financial ruin. If you are a person who rarely carries passengers and you have good health insurance (which would cover any injuries you might incur in an accident anyway) why do you need to carry uninsured motorist coverage (which only covers bodily injury, not damage to your veh)? . You don't. In addition, in Florida you are required to have PIP (usually $10,000 worth of coverage) anyway, so you end up with like triple coverage if you have a good medical policy, PIP and Uninsured Motorist coverage. MOST MEDICAL HEALTH ONLY PAYS A LIMITED PT, WHAT IF YOU NEED A NURSE TO TAKE CARE OF YOU OR FAMILY MEMEBER? YOUR MEDICAL HEALTH DOES NOT PAY FOR THAT. Contrary to what is written above, you need uninsured motorist coverage for the simple fact that it also provides for lost wages. If the accident causes you to miss time from work, how are you going to recoup those wages? Does your health insurance provide that coverage? Nope. Uninsured motorist also provides a pain and suffering benefit. If the person who hit you doesn't have the money to pay for insurance, how much money do you think you'll be able to get from them for pain and suffering? Nada. Get it- you need it. No, it is not necessary. Anyone who says you should have it without enquiring about how this might be duplicated because of other insurance coverage or job benefits is just a salesman. Each situation is different. As a general rule, however, if you have good health insurance you don't NEED this insurance.

Auto accidents and insurance claims with no insurance?

well it depends where u live as auto insurance differs everywhere. But here in Ontario, when a person hits you and drives off or has no insurance, it goes under your Uninsured auto mobile coverage. and it has very limited coverage for Medical bills, and fixing ur vehicle up to 25,000 if it was a person with no insurance. if its a hit and run then u have to pay the damages to your car out of pocket. or make a claim under your collision coverage.

Is your car covered if an uninsured and unlicensed driver drives it?

If they stole it, probably. If you were stupid enough to allow an unlicensed driver to drive your car, it's probably NOT covered under your comprehensive; it may or may not have liability. You should contact your insurance agent for a definitive answer.AnswerYou said an "uninsured driver". So,, If this unlicensed driver is not considered an insured driver under the terms of your Auto Insurance Policy then no, there will no coverage. Additionally if you allowed an unlicensed driver to drive your vehicle and an accident ensued, Your Insurance company may cancel your policy due to negligence on your part if they get wind of the matter. As stated above by the previous contributor, You should contact your insurance agent for assistance in determining who is considered insured under the terms of your policy. If you purchased Direct without an insurance agent, then you have no advocate, your just left up to the mercy of whomever answers the 800 number.

Can the insurance company at fault deny paing for treatment to injury from auto accident?

Sure. Remember that an insurance policy is a legal contract wherein the insurance company agrees to accept risk from the policy holder according to the terms of the contract. If the policy holder does not live up to the terms of the contract then the insurance company may deny coverage. For example, if the person lied to the insurance company on the application then the insurance company may deny coverage. One of the terms of the policy is that the insured agrees to inform the insurance company of all residents of the home as well as regular drivers. If the insured does not list his 17 year old child who drives one of the vehicles regularly and lives in the house and then the child has an accident the insurance company could not be expected to provide coverage for the accident. Since the insured broke the terms of the policy which is a legal contract then the company probably will not provide coverage because the insured committed material misrepresentation and lied in a significant manner on the application.
