No, fizzy drinks have carbon dioxide gas in them to make them fiz.Fizzy drinks is a beverage that typically contains carbonated water, a sweetener and a flavoring. The sweetener may be sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, sugar substitutes (in the case of diet drinks) or some combination of these. Soft drinks may also contain caffeine, colorings, preservatives and other ingredients.

But some drinks like Ginger Ale and root beer are often brewed using yeast to cause carbonation.

Yes, it's what carbonates it. Without the yeast it's just sweetened, flavored water.

Doubt it! If Coca-Cola had yeast in it, it would produce a huge amount of CO2, and the sugar would be processed into Ethanol.

No. Soda is usually sodium bi-carbonate and similar chemicals, but yeast is a living mould which is composed of single-celled organisms. I think yeast is a plant but it might be animal.

No, baking soda is not yeast. Yeast is a living microscopic organism, while baking soda is a mineral, sodium bicarbonate. The two products are not interchangable.
