Supposedly the Arthurian Legends are the longest-going English story of all time. But, apparently, they originated in Wales and Ireland, and the English just carried them on as their own story.

There he had built his stongest castle and his court was said to have always been open to welcome anyone who ventures into his kingdom. It was said that peace, truthfulness, happiness and love reigned in Camelot.
