Best Answer

In a broad sense, microbiologist is not a geneticist allthough a microbilogist studied the genetics or genes and their characterstics but the main concerened of a microbilogist is towords microorganisms only like bacteria, viruses, and fungi. A microbilogist study their physiological, morphological, and anatomical and also genetic behaviour and use it for the betterment of mankind. A geneticist on the other hand deals wiht only the heriditary material i.e. genes of any organism either prokaryotic or eukaryotic.
