My 2003 silverado Z71 just rear ended while parked sustained bumper damage and was pushed twenty feet and the second time I drove it I lost third gear and overdrive Is there something I can check?

You can check the price of transmission rebuilds in your area, the parking shunt (at least) is damaged from this type of thing, and more than likely other damage occurred.
