You are at rest when driving a car. Your car is in motion but you are not in motion. When you hit the brakes, you quickly go forward but your seat-belt will stop you from flying out of the windshield. Also if you do not put your seat-belt on then you will get a ticket.
"Every object persists in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by force impressed on it." - the Newton's first law of motion.
There are several examples of the first law - The motion of a ball falling down through the atmosphere, or a model rocket being launched up into the atmosphere- are the most common examples.
An object at rest will stay at rest unless an unbalanced force acts upon it.
EXAMPLE:
A cup of Orange Juice is at rest on a table. A hand hits it. The cup is not at rest anymore (and now the orange juice is all over the floor).
Newton's first law of motion is also known as law of inertia.
It describes motion when net force is zero.
talks about the inertia '
The law of inertia (it relates to an object's resistance to the change in motion)

the law of inertia
Newton's first law of motion is also known as law of inertia.
Law of Inertia.
Isaac Newton, he discovered: -Newton's First Law of motion. -Newton's Second Law of motion. -Newton's Third Law of motion.
because newton’s 1st law of motion uses a lot of inertia
It is associated with the law of gravitational pull.
Newtons first. :^D
His First Law and Second Law both do.
It describes motion when net force is zero.
