Probably not. Usually it will be some minor non-covered item like a faulty thermostat, an obstructed or collapsed hose - or maybe a f0aulty water pump. IF it is a water pump, it MIGHT be covered depending on the mlage on the vehicle, but it is usually gong to be something much more minor which isn[t covered becaue it is a 'routine maintencance" item. Don't get your hopes up.

No. 2008 highlander has a aluminum filter housing you need to remove with a special type of filter wrench. I was able to tap mine loose without a wrench but it could be at 24n-m tight which is difficult to loosen.
I own an 02 Highlander, and sometimes I get a knock when engine is under load, like going up a hill or when accelerating. This is engine knock caused by low octane gas. When I use a mid grade or premium octane, I do not get the sound at all. .
As of right now the Toyota Kluger is only sold in Australia and Japan. However, the Toyota Highlander is currently available in America and is the same SUV as the Kluger.
