Outsiders will view the person you have been forced to become and that you project on to everyone else. Those that know you closely will know the true you. Your true friends will always be able to tell who you are, and that is how you know who your true friends are.

  • It is difficult for the youth of today when they are trying to fit in somewhere with their peers. However, in your mid teens up a young person should know they should be honest within themselves and if they have good characteristics they should not change who they are, but change their group of friends. Example: If there is a cool group of young people you want to be with and they have a code of who should enter their group and how they should act this is not friendship, but a controlled way to change a good person into what they want them to be and if you are not willing to conform to how they are and how they act or dress then you are not included by those peers. It depends on what you consider peers. Peers should influence you in a good way; make you feel good and have fun with and not feel pressured; somewhat depressed or wonder if you will ever fit in. Choose better friends. It is much cooler to be in control of your own life and risk choosing the good friends you really should have in your life rather than trying to fit in with a group who's standards are immature and too high. School is not forever and you will probably never see most of these people again once you are out of school.
