In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church), the Temple is a sacred building set apart only for the performance of certain special ordinances or ceremonies. Regular Sunday services, youth groups, congregation activities, etc are held in meetinghouses or church buildings - NOT Temples.

While regular churches or meetinghouses and the meetings held there are open to the public, Temples are open only to faithful church members who have recieved a recommendation from their local church leaders. When a new temple is built public tours are held, but following the dedication only the lobby and waiting room will be open to those without a recommendation.

Unlike church buildings, a Mormon Temple does not have one large meeting room, but rather a collection of smaller rooms each with a specific purpose. For example, in the Baptistry, Mormons may be baptized in behalf of deceased ancestors. The Celestial Room is set aside for quiet meditation and prayer. In the Sealing Room, husbands and wives have their marriages sealed together for eternity. In the Ordinance Room, individuals may make covenants with God to further commit themselves to following Him.

Can a Mormon get married in a Maronite Church?

I don't know what a maronite church is, but the real question is "Why would they?" If they were marrying a maronite, then sure, they could marry in a maronite church. But if two Mormons (Man and Woman, for clarification) they would get married in a Mormon Temple or a Mormon meeting house.

Do you have to be baptized to be married in a Mormon church?

You do not need to be baptized to be married in a Mormon church. However, you do need to be baptized to be married in an LDS (Mormon) Temple. The temple is where members of the church are married for "time and all eternity", believing that through the power of priesthood authority which was restored to the earth through Heavenly Messengers to the prophet Joseph Smith, their marriage will be valid after death. "Mormon Underwear" are also known as garments. These garments are worn by members of the LDS church who have entered the temple and made covenants with the Lord. How long did it take to build the Mormon Hong Kong China temple?

The Hong Kong China Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) was announced in October 1992. After planning was complete, a groundbreaking marking the official beginning of construction was held in January 1994. The Temple was completed and dedicated in May 1996. Because the property was already owned by the Church and the temple had been sketched by the Church President prior to it's announcement, the planning phase was much shorter than most other temples.

Is it possible to be sealed in the Mormon temple after a civil marriage?

Yes. This is actually extremely common. Married couples who convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) are encouraged to be sealed in the temple. Additionally, Mormon couples who were unable or unworthy to be sealed in the temple on their wedding day are encouraged to have a civil ceremony and then be sealed in the temple later on. Also, some countries require couples to have a civil ceremony before they can be sealed in the temple, because they do not recognize the temple sealing as a legal marriage. While being sealed in the temple on your wedding day is the ideal, it only happens about half the time, and possibly less often than that.

You are not a Mormon your daughter is Mormon and is getting married in the Temple Can you just walk in the door?

Most temples will have a waiting area, right inside the front doors, for family and friends who do not currently have a temple recommend or who are not members of the church, but you cannot go farther than that point.
