Constant velocity is the Newton's first law. A real life example is Sunlight, an example of constant velocity, light traveling at the constant speed of light.. On earth, an ice skater gliding or a hockey puck sliding on ice is a close example of nearly constant velocity. A stable oil drilling platform is close to zero constant velocity.
Newton's second law of motion explains how an object will change velocity if it is pushed or pulled upon.

Uniform circular motion can be described as the motion of an object in a circle at a constant speed. As an object moves in a circle, it is constantly changing its direction. At all instances, the object is moving tangent to the circle. Since the direction of the velocity vector is the same as the direction of the object's motion, the velocity vector is directed tangent to the circle as well.
