Why student weak in exam?

Every student has strengths. Every student has weaknesses. Each have opportunities, and each have threats that can interfere with achieving goals and objectives. It is an individual thing and particular to the student. The goal would be to maximize the strengths and opportunities while minimizing the weaknesses and threats. However, if I had to list some of the weaknesses I have observed in students, some would be as follows.

* Lack of vision (leads to lack of interest)

* procrastination * negative peer pressure * lack of time management skills * Lack of good critical thinking skills * low self esteem * fear (many types) Some students might have one of the above or a combination of a few. Then again, a student may have none of the above but something that has not been listed. Still, one thing is certain. All of us have strengths and weaknesses. Key is learning how to handle them in the most positive and productive way.

Pressure from professors

Pessimism

Peer Pressure

Lazy/Dont care

stupid

Lack of time and energy to do school works

In need of medication (ADD / ADHD) but unknown.

Lots of reasons. Some people freeze up and perform poorly on tests, some are ill-prepared, some are ill period and not concentrating as well as they should. It's also a dirty little secret that once in a while some students are just plain stupid.

There are a great many reasons why a student could be weak in taking exams. The student may have trouble at home, had little sleep, or have weak studying skills.
