Starters are easy once they are off the car. Remove the 2 nuts or bolts holding on the smaller solenoid cover. Then once out replace the contacts and reinstall the cover. Once in take the time to clean check and lube the mechanism. Any binding or issues should be dealt with now.
The Toyota 4 runner will not start, it sounds like it is going to and it will not, the starter, spark plugs are fine?
easiest is to take off the front wheel and do the job from there
Neither, it should stay the way that it is!! Final!!
Should be the same as any 4 runner. Check my posts, I have answered it several times.
The starter is located on the passenger side of the motor rignt under the manifold. You can access it from underneath, or remove the right tire, and you can get to it as well.
Passenger side under the intake manifold... Follow the positive battery cable down to it.
no factory has a key like all other cars
Starter Solenoid? Its on the starter itself. Right side of engine. Connects to the transmission. Usually seen thru the right tire wheel well.
No you do not have to remove manifold. It is a tight fit to get starter out and then back in again,,,have patience and play the wiggle game,,g luck have fun.
If you need to ask send it to the dealer or a #1 auto repair shop in your area.
Because there is a problem with the Anti-Lock Brake System. Not a DIY repair. Take it to a professional.
