There are five rivers rising in northern France ang going through Belgium :
1: the Yser - Runs into the sea near Ostende. 2: the Lys - runs north into 3: the Escaut (called Schelt in Dutch), itself running to the port of Anvers. 4: the Sambre, running north into 5: the Meuse, itself going further north to the Netherlands. The major one would be the Meuse, then the Escaut.
