Obviously the person who answered the question above is not very educated. This seems to be a misconception among the black community, (no offense... I'm half black myself). It doesn't matter if siblings share the same biological mother or father because you receive half your DNA from your mother and half from your father. So, to answer your question... it doesn't matter if you share the same mother or father, you're half siblings either way. Looks like the person above was sleeping in their science class or just a victim of misinformation.
Half. FULL. If you have the same mother you are sisters/brothers. The child, if a non-bloodless delivery commingles with the mother's bodily fluid as well as blood, thus making the children with the same mother FULL sisters/brothers. This has been the theory for many years only now within the last 5-10 years has there been controversy over this issue. In laymen terms, if a child is delivered naturally that child will intake the mother's bodily fluids as well as blood, which means the child literally has his/her mother's blood in their veins.
it depends on the circumstances...you would not be full siblings though you would be considered half siblings Basically, you're just half-siblings, though you could tell people you were full siblings.
You are a Half Brother/sister. I have same family But other way around
If you only share one parent, that makes you half siblings.
Well technically yes because you share blood (your dads)
half.
Yes.
yes.
They have the same mother and different fathers.
They are half siblings.
Yes.
yes it's just a coincidence that you have the same blood type cos you inherited half the genes of your mother
Yes, because they the same mother - but different fathers. So they have different last names.
In most cases, your sister's mother is also your mother, and her husband is your father. If you and your baby sister have the same father but different mothers, your sister's mother's father is your father. If you and you sister have the same mother but different fathers, your baby sister's father is your step-father if he is married to your mother.
Nothing really. There is no blood relationship between the two.
A half-brother (or half-sister) is one with whom you share only one parent, i.e. you have the same mother but different fathers or the same father but different mothers.
Because it will have some of its fathers DNA
Regardless of the mother's sexual orentaion the fathers role is still the same.
fraternal twins can have separate fathers.
A stepsister is one where there are no blood ties, only related by marriage. If you are both a natural child of one of the parents then it would make you half sisters. Same mother, different fathers. Same father, different mothers.
