Setting the timing on a Ford 4.0 V6. Two variations are the Pushrod 4.0 and the DOCH 4.0.
*Pushrod 4.0
*DOCH 4.0 - First get the timing order of the vehicle. http://autorepair.about.com/library/firing_orders/bl-fo-7234.htm Firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6 which means when #1 is TDC then so it #5 (exhaust stroke).
If you are going to open then engine this far you need to replace these parts.
Please contact me at c_robertson at Yahoo.com to verify if this worked for you, or if you had problems or errors.
This is set electronically by the computer...nothing to set.Answerthe only wayto look at the timing is to set up a timing light and look at the crankshaft pully. but there is no way to set it on this truck
Circa 40.
On a 1995 Ford 4.0 liter V6 engine : I believe that is 39/40 PSI ( 30 PSI at idle ) fuel pressure
10-40 SAE
how do u check timing in a 40 hp yamaha 2 stroke
its mounted under the hood on the driver side fender
I ASSUME it would be the same as the 4.0 liter in my 1995 Ford EXPLORER ; ( 39 / 40 PSI , key on , engine off , and 30 PSI with engine running at idle )
You would find that info in a shop repair manual for that vehicle.
The 1996 Ford Escort 1.9 liter engine cylinder head bolt torque specification is 120 pounds. The head bolts should be torqued in 40 pound intervals.
It is on the harmonic balancer. It will have numbers from -10 to 0 then up to 40(?). Two bolts attached to the block hold a pointer to the numbers on the harmonic balancer. Also this engine has a plug with a black end called the spout it is usually close to the distributor this has to be unplugged to set the timing correctly. This being unplugged puts the engine at base timing. Take care
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I BELIEVE that is ( 40 to 60 PSI at 2,000 RPM ) for the oil pressure on a 3.0 liter V6 engine in a Ford Ranger
40 liters x $0.42 per liter is $16.80 16.80
