Answer..IMPORTANT-BAT MORE IMPORTANTOf course not. Doesn't he have more important things to do then Chase Barry around the country?

It could takes weeks or even months. Just think, say Barry ties the record. He could be going to dozens of games (and several cities) after that before the record is broken. There are many things that could happen that could keep the record from being broken. I can come up with at least a dozen at the top of my head right now. Doesn't Major League Baseball have a better way on spending money that they acquired directly or indirectly from us fans?

I believe there is a pressing issue much more important then this issue that we should be discussing and finding an answer to. The seemingly increase of bats breaking and flying at players and even sometimes us fans. I think going to aluminum bats may not be the answer, and I don't even like the sound, but even that would be better than risking injury to players, coaches, fans and anyone else involved. Somehow, someway this problem should be solved or at least minimized as soon as possible. After someone gets killed, crippled or severely injured is not the time to solve this problem. I believe that for the safety of all involved that this problem needs to be addressed and put behind us NOW........Gil Wierschke (lifetime Baseball fan).
