NO! that's kinda going into the STALKER vibe mode... I mean i just started highschool.. and let me tell ya that happens to me a lot! It totally creeps me out, because then I feel really awkward and don't know what to say.. usually because i don't like them at all and don't want to hurt their feelings.. I especially hate the little " Do you like me? Check yes or no" notes! haha. It's stupid really. I would just come right out and say that I liked him... it worked for me. But I'm pretty straight forward soo... Really I guess it's whatever floats your boat! :)

you should write it in a note or something, but you should only tell him that you like him if your positive that he likes you back.. You just break it down it small pieces, so he'll figure it out himself, look for any signals that he likes you back and tell him you like him. :)
