As such, words and phrases used in poetry would need more refining and polishing, to express more ideas using fewer words. This refined diction of poetry is much useful to students of languages in developing and refining their language skills. Another use for poetry is they are ideas expressed in better phrases. Students need ideas based on which only will their language stand. Ideas are the muscles of mind, and to remain strong, they should daily be exercised. Reading poetry everyday serves this purpose of exercising mind. Because of this feature of poetry, they are useful and important to students as learners of languages and also as young minds growing up.
