At my aerospace job, we heat up the refrigerant tanks while charging with a heat gun. By heating the liquid in the tanks, it is turned into a vapor. I don't fully understand why we do this, but I think it's simply because vapor is easier to pull into the system than liquid. I hope I answered your question. It was kinda confusing.
Never, unless you suspect of not cooling then there is a leak somewhere. A repair will need to be performed before recharging.
Your recharge your air conditioner with the type of refrigerant which it was designed for.
Recharging should be on low-pressure side only
5yrs
The refrigerant (freon) in any air conditioner should last the life of the unit. If not, you have a leak.
Yes
You would have to recover the refrigerant and weigh it.
If your air conditioner blows air but it's not cold air then you probably need freon in your air conditioner
Technically yes. But with the cost of the refrigerant it`s not worth it.
Never! If it's low on refrigerant it has leaked.
It's out of freon or refrigerant.
An air conditioner in a RV uses refrigerant to chill air passing over an evaporator coil. The most common refrigerant is Freon and is easily found in most autopart stores.
