Should you buy a Nikon 50mm f 1 4 lens for your D200 camera you have a 18-200mm vr lens on it now?
Yes. Or the new AF-s 35mm f1.8 and the 50mm f1.8 for about the same price as the 50mm f1.4. A good lens mostly and a wide range, my 18-200mm is slow and a little soft in low light and a little distorted all around. The 50mm is a short telephoto on DX sensors and the 35mm is a "normal" with almost no distortion and I believe three stops faster (allows more light to pass through the lens) or the difference between ISO 800 and ISO 200 with the same amount of light. With Digital as with film as the ISO goes up the noise and grain increases. Or you could increase the shutter speed to prevent motion blur from a moving subject. The VR function of the 18-200mm eliminates most blur from camera shake but has no effect on subject motion. A faster shutter speed allows a smaller amount of subject motion to be captured so blur is reduce. Wikipedia defines f-number as: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F_stop

My lens for my camera got wet there was some condensation inside but it is now gone it is an auto-focus long range lens for Nikon D-80 can i still use the lens or should i just get a new one?
Answer . I would at least try the lense on a few pictures and see what the quality is. Depending on the price of a new one, you could even remove the front lense and clean… it, or have it done by a professional.
This is rather vague as it depends on what you want to photograph. Having said that, the "standard" 50mm f1.4 lens is good value and very fast, its also around your budget.. …The 18-200mm lens will cater for many situations, but it's more expensive.
There is no single answer to this question unless you say more about what you mean by "best"; do you mean the best possible quality, the lightest, the biggest range, widest or… longest or best value?. Having said all that(!), I'd suggest the single most useful lens is the 18-200mm - it covers most common application and has a large zoom range.
It has an "F" lens mount.. source: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond50/page5.asp
The question is incomprehensible. Do you mean are they made by the same maker? The answer to that question is yes. Nikon makes NikKor lenses.
Should i get a 50mm prime lens for your Nikon D40 I don't really know how to manually focus and i have the 18-55 mm lens?
Yes! Manual focussing is easy and that is a great lens.
no it can't cannon has a competetion with nikon they want you to buy only their products
"VR" is a Nikon thing. It means "vibration reduction." It's got two parts to it. In the camera body, there are two angular velocity sensors. One of them detects up-and-down s…haking, the other detects side-to-side shaking. In the lens there is one glass element that's got two motors attached to it. They move the element to compensate for your shaking. The result is you can shoot at shutter speeds far slower than you could without it. The VR lens only works as part of a system, so if you buy a VR lens and put it on a non-VR camera it won't do you any good.
and nikon camera can use a nikon lens, try a D3000, a D50, or a D9
