Relationships are built on trust; loyalty; communication skills and planning for a future so there is no use in keeping your ex in your life; not even as a friend. It best to strive forward in life and find that person that you truly should be with. There are a very few instances where people breakup and move on and a year or so later get back together again, but both parties have had other experiences with other people and may be more mature when they come back into each others lives again.
