Most people would not sign a contract without any vin number on the car. It is impossible to register and license a car that does not have a vehicle identification number. A contract is a legal binding document and the buyer is to beware, or in other words be alert in the transaction.
Only if the contract allows for it.
There is nothing to prevent it. Legal contracts can be signed at any time.
A contract is a legally binding document. If it was signed, it is serious.
No it does not have to be signed in person. Companies often agree in the contract to accept faxed signatures.
If you signed it as well as the other person, its still vaild.
the only contracts that cannot be signed are the legal contract of independence
No its illegal as u have entered into a contract
Depending on the state of contract, a mistake on the VIN may or may not be voidable. Under old laws, a mistake on a VIN can cause a contract to be voidable.
Have A County Attorney Read Your Contract, And Tell Him The Reason Stated By The Car Dealer. If Its In The Contract The Dealer Signed He Has To Fulfill His Signed Agreement. If He Has Not Entered Into A Contract With You On The Car, Signed By Himself. Then You Will Need To Walk Away. GOOD LUCK
It certainly depends on the local laws in your area but I have to tell you a signed contract is legal and binding - read all the print on the contract to see if there is anything stated on it that may pertain to your predicament.
It is not necessary to have both signatures. It certainly helps if there is a legal issue. If the other party signed it, you will likely be able to hold them to it. Oral contracts can be valid as well. The difference would be dealing with real property (land).
Then why did you sign it? Did you not read what you signed. It is going to be their word against yours. Your rights were spelled out in the contract you signed, and you are bound by that agreement. Unless they agree that something was left out. I would be very nice and discuss this with them. Hopefully they will amend the contract. Otherwise you may be stuck with what you signed. Of course you can and probably should seek legal advice.
