Unless the cucumber has spoiled or dried through the center, the unattacked end should be edible. Make sure you wash the cucumber. Cut off the piece where it was chewed on, and remove more of that end (back to where the interior looks completely unaffected).

A carrot is NOT safe. The rough edges will hurt. A cucumber would be better. However, I would think best advice is go small, and skin the tip, for a better lubricant

depends on your definition of garden soil. if its black dirt from your garden yes. if its soil from a bag no. the bagged soil has fertilizer and other stuff in it that wouldn't be too good for a frog
