whenever they are in there most stable state , then they are at their lowest energy level. as u provide energy , they get excited and then upgrade to further energy level . and due to loss of energy , they regain earlier positions.

What is the term for an atom whose electrons have the lowest possible energies?

The term for an atom whose electrons have the lowest possible energies is "ground state." In this state, electrons are in their lowest energy levels or orbitals, closest to the nucleus. Excited states refer to when electrons are in higher energy levels, further away from the nucleus.

What the is energy levels in an atom?

1. Atoms do not have energy levels unlike particles like electrons etc.2. The lowest energy for atoms will be 0 at absolute zero temp of 0 deg Kelvin.3. For electrons in all atoms lowest energy is that of 2 electrons nearest to the nucleus.

Which state are electrons at their lowest possible energy level?

poopers

What state are electrons at their lowest possible energy level?

liquid

Where can electrons not reside according to the bohr model?

In between any of the energy levels, electrons have to be in an energy level and prefer to be at the lowest energy level possible. Additional information: Electrons in the first energy level can only have two attached and in any energy level after that cannot exceed more than 8

In How many energy levels are the electrons of magnesium?

Magnesium (Mg) has two electrons in it's lowest (s) orbital.

ground state

Which energy position do electrons generally want to be in?

Their lowest possible energy state, called the "ground state".

Must Electrons must fill the higher energy levels before they fill the lower energy levels?

No, according to Hund's rule the electrons fill the lowest orbital first and foremost and then go on to fill higher orbitals.

What is the name of the state of the electrons when the electrons have not gained any energy and they are resting comfortably in the lowest possible orbital?

Ground state.

When do all electrons in an atom have the lowest possible energies?

This is called the "ground state", all electrons occupy the orbitals of lowest energy available to them.
