Hair bleaches in the pool not because of the chlorine, but because of the metals and copper in the water. If the pool has a high concentration of metals and copper, then yes, it will appear or turn a faint green.
The color of the pool is no problem at all. If the water is green, who in his right mind would jump in?

There’s no denying that swimming pools are high maintenance in a way, but choosing the right supplies to clean the pool will be the difference between spending a little time cleaning and spending a lifetime cleaning. Also, purchasing quality cleaning supplies for a swimming pool will prove to be very vital in the long run. Pool Cleaner and Net No matter which way you spin it, a pool cleaner is essential to keeping a swimming pool clean. The pool cleaner is much like a water-proof vacuum cleaner that moves across the floor of the pool for dirt and other particles. Investing in a net for skimming the top of the water is also essential. Leaves, insects and other debris will collect in the water if the water is not regularly cleaned. Sanitizer Clearing the water of noticeable grime and dirt is not the only method of cleaning you should be focused on. Purchasing a sanitizer for the swimming pool is also completely necessary. The sanitizer will help fight the bacteria and pollution that is hardly recognizable to the human eye. It’s also important to remember to sanitize once a week or so. Pool Brush The pool brush is another supply that is crucial for cleaning a swimming pool. It’s really a great tool for loosening dirt particles and grime from the walls, floor and steps of the pool. Chlorine and Alkaline Powder Chlorine is another chemical that is commonly used in pools to help keep bacteria and other pollution out of the pool. Even though chlorine is a great defense against germs and bacteria, it cannot be dispensed into a pool without alkaline powder. Have you ever seen a pool with a green tint and wondered why it was that way? The green color in the water was the result of the absence of or not enough alkaline powder. Adding chlorine to a pool without also adding alkaline powder will result in green water and corrosion of metal parts in the pool. Always make sure to wear gloves when handling pool chemicals as they could be harmful to your skin.
