depends on the year. but for a series 1 motor its all one piece. no need to drain the supercharger cuz it all comes out with the sythentic oil. i would upgrade the oil pump to a high volume one.
for 1995 to 1999 models:
If the reservoir is low, top it off with GM Supercharger oil P/N 12345982 (a special 5W-30 synthetic oil).
Do not open the drain plug when the engine is hot. Let it cool at least two hours so hot oil does not spray out of the reservoir. The oil level should be at the bottom of the inspection threads in the drain plug hole.
Supercharger oil can be purchased an any GM dealer or online at gmpartsdirect.com
There is a noise on the top of my 96 S/C buick riviera engine (in the supercharger housing) Sounds to me like bearings? How do Ilubricate S/C? And when do I Change this lubricant?
Neglect to replace the supercharger oil.
The Buick Riviera with supercharger should put out 240hp
It takes 2 bottles of the GM supercharger oil (or Ford supercharger oil, they are the same product). Do not try to substitute anything else for it either. It is a specialized oil built for the iron bearings that are used in these superchargers.
96 doesnt have the supercharger so yes What made you think it is a 1996? It's pretty tough to mis-identify a SuperCharger?
A variety of options exist. See the Reatta forum http://www.reatta.net/. What is a riviera witch?
from underneath the car you can get right to them
RIGHT SIDE OF ENGINE NEAR CRANK PULLY
Next to the pulley that is on the supercharger is a little hex nut. Take this hex nut off and drain the oil by using something to suck it out. Once all of the oil is sucked out, use "GM Supercharger Oil" which is a special blend oil and fill it back up. Make sure you fill it up to about 1/4 inch below this hex nut.
There is no button for the supercharger. The supercharger is always on because it is being driven by the belts of the engine. When you step on the gas, there is a vacuum line that is hooked up to the supercharger in which will close a little valve causing the boost to be diverted into the engine.
The question is about my Buick Regal GS 2000 Supercharger oil Information
When u change the oil in the car it automatically feeds it to the supercharger. i wondered the same thing so i asked a Buick specialist and that's what they told me
